The Open Day of TWGHs Hok Shan School

The Open Day of TWGHs Hok Shan School has been held successfully on 17th Sunday. Children, parents and teachers all gathered to participate. Children learnt a lot about STEAM throughout the games and made different small handicrafts, which combined learning and entertainment so as to achieve the objective of "Learning with Fun". In the events, children and parents toured the school together, and visited every corner of the school to participate in the interesting booth games. These included handmade musical instruments, boats, projectors, and masks made with lots of different materials. Also, children could fly a model airplane, simulate the driving of robotic vehicles and try out virtual rides indoors. The children participated in the whole process and gained abundantly. They even brought plenty of their prizes home after the battles. Meanwhile, a parent talk was also conducted smoothly. Miss Chung Wai Yan and Mr Martin Yan shared the detail of their experiences as athletes, promoted the importance of sport in life, and taught us how to overcome difficulties. Their persistence and enthusiasm towards sport had helped parents deeply understand the benefits, values and relationship between sport and academic performance. After the talk, a group photo was taken to record such a joyful moment. Although the first open day has finished, parents and children who missed the event need not be disappointed. Our school will hold a parent-child workshop on 23th September (Saturday). Parents and children who are interested in it, remember to register. We will see you there!
