Characteristics of Curriculum
- P. 1 to P. 6 students learn through a series of activities that integrate reading and writing. By adopting “read-speak-write” in units, students are expected to be capable of “reading to write”.
- Preview before each unit so as to nurture P. 1 to P. 6 students’ attitude to self-learn through doing before learning.
- Attractive preview and extended learning as well as exercise on online learning platform to promote students’ learning interests and reinforcement.
- Using mind mapping to collate reading passages which trains students’ high order thinking and techniques in thinking and recognition.
- Speech training such as Little Footprint and Sharing sessions in P. 1 to P. 6 classes to motivate students in verbal expression and sharing.
- Large amount of strategic reading and literacy training in KS1 to nurture the interests of students in language learning.
- “READ & WRITE” Programme to consolidate students’ foundation in basic knowledge in reading and writing in KS1.
- “READ & WRITE” Tier-2 Support, Group Learning Scheme and Tier Worksheets to take care of learners’ diversities.
- Elite Program including speech training and campus journalist to improve students’ verbal expression and confidence.
