Learning Objectives

  1. Cultivate students’ positive attitude in using information technology.
  2. Provide IT knowledge and skills to students.
  3. Improve students’ self-learning ability by making use of information technology as a powerful learning tool.
  4. Support and incorporate subject knowledge in teaching.
  5. Nurture information literacy in order to build a proper attitude in processing and managing information technology.

Characteristics of Curriculum

  • Delivery computer knowledge and skills to student so that they can apply what they have learnt and facilitate lifelong learning.
  • Optimize the curriculum of computer subject. Adopting the guideline of Tung Wah coding curriculum, we divided six years of primary education into three learning stages. Basic coding skills will be introduced in each learning stage. Students could acquire coding skills and apply them to different tasks and context which could improve their problem solving skills.
  • Place an emphasis on students’ information literacy and positive value judgement.
  • Broaden students’ horizon and give them more opportunities to showcase their accomplishment.
  • Enrich students’ learning experience and improve their confidence in learning computer.
  • Use e-books in all levels. Students may log in e-books at home using computer or tablets for revision or self-learning.
  • Promote students’ interests and leadership by taking part in “Campus TV”.
