Learning Objectives

  1. Nurture students’ interests in reading so as to build up the habit of reading and learn from reading.
  2. Improve students’ reading skills and information literacy by facilitating effective and ethical use of information.

Characteristics of Curriculum

  1. Library class once in two weeks during which students would learn about the library, reading attitude, structures of books, categorization and organization of books, reading strategies and information literacy etc.
  2. We have morning reading sessions every Tuesday and Thursday so that students could read Chinese, English and E-books as well as newspaper regularly to build up a good reading habit. Also, “Mr and Mrs Story” would read Chinese and English story books to P. 1 and P. 2 students during morning reading sessions.
  3. Parent-child Reading Scheme is established to set reading goals for students and encourage them to read.
  4. We work with different subjects to organized theme book fair so as to promote and expose students to different genres of books and knowledge.
